As the final quarter of 2023 wrapped up, Sensor Tower's data showcases how the top theme parks apps on Android platforms performed in the United States. Here's a closer look at the trends for the top five applications in this category.
My Disney Experience saw a steady increase in downloads, starting at around 18K in the last week of September and peaking at over 25K by Christmas week. The weekly active users also showed an upward trend, beginning at approximately 81K and ending the quarter with a high note of over 92K active users.
Disneyland® experienced a similar pattern, with downloads fluctuating throughout the quarter but ultimately rising from about 10K to over 14K. Weekly active users for the app peaked at nearly 35K by the end of December, up from around 32K at the quarter's start.
NBCUniversal Media, LLC's Universal Orlando Resort app downloads had a mid-quarter dip but recovered towards the end with an increase from roughly 8.5K to over 14K. The app's active users showed resilience, ending the quarter with about 34.5K weekly active users.
SeaWorld had a remarkable surge in downloads during the last week of December, jumping to approximately 18K, a significant rise from the start of the quarter which was around 4K. The app's weekly active users more than doubled, soaring from around 11K to over 25K in the same period.
Lastly, the Universal Hollywood™ App showed an impressive increase in both downloads and weekly active users. Downloads climbed from about 6.6K to over 11.5K, while active users grew from roughly 12K to over 18K by the quarter's end.
